An offline writing app
Retroprose works offline in the browser. When the connection drops, you carry on typing, and your changes are sent when you are back online.
No connection
The status line says Offline, and autosave carries on to your device instead of the server. When the connection comes back, every change is sent in order, even after hours of work.
Every device
Each laptop, tablet or phone you use keeps a copy of each document, so any document opens offline. Install Retroprose as an app from your browser and it opens in a window of its own. If two devices change the same paragraph, your version is kept in a copy, so no words are lost.
What works offline
All the writing tools, from search and replace to footnotes, spell check and word goals, and List files for making, renaming, moving and deleting files. Exports and print preview are made on the server, so they wait for a connection, and the status line says so.
