Letter, report and article templates

Pick a template as you export: Plain, Letter, Report or Article. Your name, address and sign-off are filled in, and all four are free.

Print preview in Retroprose showing a letter in the Letter template: the address of the sender and the date on the right, the address it goes to on the left, then the letter. Keys 1 to 4 at the foot choose Plain, Letter, Report or Article.
Shift+F7 shows the pages in the template. 1 to 4 change it, and 5 exports.

Templates

Each template has one layout. There are no fonts, colours or letterheads to design.

  • Plain: headings, lists and tables, with no extra layout.
  • Letter: your address and the date on the right, theirs on the left, and your sign-off.
  • Report: a title page, a contents list, page numbers and numbered headings.
  • Article: the title, a standfirst, the author and the date, with pull quotes.

Your details

Enter your name, address and sign-off once, on your account page. Every letter and article uses them. To change them for one document, use File, Properties.

Word, PDF or OpenDocument

Templates work with Word (.docx), PDF, OpenDocument (.odt) and HTML. Footnotes are numbered. Print preview, on Shift+F7, shows the pages first.
